Tyler Henry is the gay 22-year-old “clairvoyant” who uses his supernatural powers the way they were meant to be used, on the E! network.
But Henry doesn’t merely communicate with the deceased on the hallowed ground of reality TV. It’s a 24-hour gig.
And that makes for some pretty wild shower scenes.
Speaking to Us Weekly, the completely legitimate psychic revealed that contact with the spirits “does happen sometimes in the morning when I’m getting ready.”
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
“Sometimes when I’m in the shower, in which case, I’m like ‘I’ll see you outside.’”
Anyone who’s been walked in on naked by a relative knows how potentially awkward this can be, but now imagine it wasn’t your dad but your great-great-grandmother.
“Not while I’m shampooing, Mabel!”
For what it’s worth, in 2015 the Independent Investigations Group awarded Henry’s show the Truly Terrible Television Award “in acknowledgment of the extraordinary ongoing deceit of the American public represented in this television program.”
Or maybe he’s the real McCoy — the suspense is killing us.

If he talks to dead people in his shower, he’s off his meds.
BGinBigD
Amen
Terrycloth
Most of his clients are famous people.who by the way he’s never heard of..yeah right..most of what he tells them can be found on Google or in biographies..im sure his mom who drives him.around helps with the research.i bet the show is heavily edited to show what he gets right than what he gets wrong. I wonder what these celebs pay for this crap ?
BGinBigD
Miss Henry is really pathetic, along with his mom. But what should be said about the “celebrities” who let him film them while he miraculously speaks to their deceased loved ones? This is FAKE TV at it’s best. They ALL foos!!
phallictomato
Dead people talk to him in the shower? More like ‘I wonder which celebrity I should Google Search for my next episode’.
He BGB
I finally got to see the show, staying in a hotel on vacation that had cable. Yawn…..
OzJosh
Don’t make the mistake of treating hucksters like this as a joke or as harmless entertainment. Whether a grey-haired granny or a cute Twink, these “mediums” are scammers who exploit vulnerable people in order to separate them from their cash. Doing it for a TV audience only makes it worse.
WindsorOntario
Oh absolutely. These are the new snake oil salesmen. The new Miss Cleo’s. Way back when they used to chase people like this out of town with torches and pitchforks. Or tar and feather them.
Charlie in Charge
That isn’t universally true. Plenty of diviners you meet are sincerely interested in helping their clientele – they just tend to not make it into the limelight.
OzJosh
If they’re “sincere”, then they’re deluded. Either way, they are dangerous.
dwes09
I wonder if there actually are people who pursue this as a career who are “sincere” or talented in any way.
Charlie in Charge
dwes09, There are indeed. You actually can make a living as reader but you will not have the budget for national advertising campaigns like those 1-900 companies that have commercials on at 2:00am. That’s why those companies are prominent for the public (as are reality TV celebs like the above Hollywood Medium whose skills and motivations I cannot speak to). Those companies are pretty predatory and you are better served by finding the local reader at the nearest new age bookstore.
Evji108
Relax people, it’s just fake reality entertainment TV. The pearl clutching by the drama queers here is overly dramatic. If people are stupid enuff to really believe in this phoney baloney then they are getting what they came for: A brief diversion from their sad lives and some false hope..
MikeE
the point is Queerty shouldn’t be giving this fraudster a platform.
Bryguyf69
MikeE – this mocking article is hardly an endorsement of Henry. It’s dripping with sarcasm and derision, and makes fun of both Henry and his believers. The sarcasm was pretty clear to me and I found myself laughing while reading it. Queerty has used the “completely legitimate” descriptor before in similarly bitchy sarcastic ways. Love it. In other words, this is neither a platform nor endorsement of Henry.
Bryguyf69
Evji108 – except when that “distraction” makes them ignore reality and more pressing issues. I’ve had patients delay medications and procedures because of some spiritual intervention. Sometimes a delay can be the difference between success and failure, even life and death. The problem is that patients are often too embarrassed to tell their providers so they lie about taking their meds, when in fact, they’re just chanting naked over a woo-woo doll.
As for Henry and his ilk, they often charge thousands and more for their services. For the elderly and infirmed, this may not be small change. Worse, it’s usually an ongoing relationship — similar to an addiction. You may argue that they deserve what they get, but how about the victim’s family and loved ones? Should helpless children, especially those with health issues, be drawn into this? Should an entire family’s finances be jeopardized because of one desperate fool?
irbaboon
I want to talk to him in the shower
tham
Is he 100% sure it’s not the beginnings of schizophrenia?
He’s at the right age.
mhoffman953
So according to him (for the record, I know he’s a fraud), when I and others die, the only thing I can look forward to as a ghost, is that I will need to contact a twink while he’s showering to relay messages to my family?
Get bent
FlyBy
UM . . . “the completely legitimate psychic . . .” ? Is this an informational article or a press release?
Bryguyf69
FlyBy – er, it’s sarcasm. It was pretty clear to me and I found myself laughing while reading it. Queerty has used the “completely legitimate” descriptor before in similarly bitchy sarcastic ways. Love it. In other words, the writer is making fun of Henry and those who believe him.
CanadianGuy62
Pretty sure that was a tongue-in-cheek comment. See the last two paragraphs.
Daniel-Reader
Miss Cleo made bucks the same way. Many people cannot handle mortality so they need to believe in a cray-cray ghost world/afterlife to excuse all the crap they pull in life. People waste their time and money on worse things.
Ken
I’m sure a lot of living people wouldn’t mine talking to him in the shower, either.
DavidIntl
I have never heard of this guy before, but he’s gorgeous. If I were still single, I would date him in a second. But, I would have to work hard to ignore/humour all of the ‘psychic’ BS.
dwes09
If you ever saw him speak, or do his “work” you would lose the desire. Plus, he is married to a similarly willowy and vapid twink.
Bryguyf69
I wonder how Henry is viewed by the LGBT community. Based on the comments here, he seems to be an embarrassment. However, a 1970s study found that gays were more likely to believe in astrology, and if I’m not mistaken, other aspects of the occult. I believe the reasoning was that gays were rejected by mainstream religions, so they turned toward the occult for spirituality. I wonder if four decades of increasing gay acceptance has changed this. As a side note, gays are also generally better educated, which should increase skepticism.
Bryguyf69
This is how “psychics” like Henry perform their tricks, as explained by my hero, skeptic Michael Shermer. He uses another gay psychic, James van Praagh, as the subject, but the techniques apply to all psychics.

Bryguyf69
Here is Barbara Walters blasting another famous gay psychic, James van Praagh, illustrating why fraudulent psychics aren’t just a harmless diversion. When van Praagh was on her show, he ingratiated himself to her by giving her an unsolicited medical diagnosis. She had her blood checked and proved that he was wrong. You can hear van Praagh’s bitchy reply.

I posted this I’m a reply, but this video is so painfully funny, I’m posting it again add a standalone post. Tyler Henry is smart, tightly controlling his performance with the ability to edit out gaffs. But if he ever branches out with live demonstrations, you might see something like this fiasco from fellow gay celebrity psychic, James van Praagh.
WARNING: this can be very painful to watch! Watch the audience looked annoyed, and the host running over to end the misery.

Why are so many of you attacking a clairvoyant. While supporting other snake oil sales people that make millions and millions in the name of Christ, Mohamed, Buda, Krishna or many others. Make sure your skirt is clean before looking up someone else’s.
ChrisK
I think you’ve confused the site with the something else. Generally Christianity, Islam, etc isn’t look to favorably here either.
WLC
I find HOLLYWOOD MEDIUM a very interesting show because he doesn’t seem to do what other mediums seem to do. I think it is VERY important for people to get their facts and really investigate what they are talking about before talking… THINK TRUMP! Watch the show a couple of times and make your own evaluation before making ignorant comments. THANKS!
