Can you say schadenfreude?
Atlah Worldwide Church, who brought us homophobic classics like “White homos looking for black meat” and “semen lattes” is up for public auction due to $1m in dept, and The Ali Forney Center has launched a fundraising drive to claim the space for LGBT youth.
AFC executive director Carl Siciliano praised LGBT-inclusive Harlem residents and allies who stood up to church’s demented “pastor,” David Manning:
“The biggest reason our youths are driven from their homes is because of homophobic and transphobic religious beliefs of their parents. It has meant the world to us that so many Harlem residents have stood up to support our young people, and are now urging us to provide urgently needed care at the site of so much hatred. If we are able to obtain the space it would truly be a triumph of love over hatred.”
It seems like love is indeed triumphing, as the effort is already 50 percent toward the $200k goal, which AFC hopes will help obtain additional support from local government and foundations to close the deal. If the group secures the space, they also hope to launch a catering business run by AFC clients.

Here’s a second PSA, highlighting the work the center does. This PSA is less emotional but more informative and more ethnically diverse. Unfortunately, it’s also a semi-ad for Time Warner. I’ve only seen this PSA air twice, while the other airs much more frequently.

Here is Manning’s rant on semen lattes, and other gay Crimes Against Humanity. For what it’s worth, Dr. Craig Spencer, the altruistic physician who caught Ebola, is straight and has a fiancée. While I have nothing against sodomy, calling him a sodomite is slanderous/libelous. There is no proof that he has engaged in gay sex (the common definition) or non-vaginal sex (the legal definition). Both Spencer and Starbucks should sue Manning, depriving him of money. He has already lost this building due to debt. imagine what two lawsuits would do!
