It’s a scientific fact: The cute ones are always crazy. And Jeremy Meeks is no exception.
Gay men and women alike have been drooling over Meeks ever since his super hot mugshot went viral last week. So far, his photo, posted on the Stockton Police Department’s Facebook page on June 18, has been liked by more than 95,000 people, shared over 12,000 times, and received more than 25,00 comments.
But his lengthy rap sheet may have some folks thinking twice about their feelings for the blue-eyed bad boy.
Meeks is currently facing weapons charges as well as street terrorism charges. And this isn’t the first time he’s had a run-in with the law. According to TMZ, his criminal record dates back more than 10 years.

In 2002, Meeks was charged with robbery and corporal injury to a child when he beat a 16-year-old “to a pulp.” (Yikes!) He served two years in a California prison after copping a plea.
After being released, Meeks moved to Spokane, where he was charged with identity theft and resisting arrest in 2007 when he tried stealing a package of pellets from a sporting goods store.
Oh, and on top of all that, he’s also admitted to being affiliated with the Crips, the notorious Los Angeles street gang.
Rumors that the 30-year-old tatted-up felon was gay began swirling late last week, but they have since been debunked. Gawker reports that Meeks is married with a kid. (Whomp, whomp.) Not only that, but his jealous wife is not pleased with everyone lusting over her husband.
“She’s upset. She’s furious,” Simone Johnson, a friend of Meeks, told CBS Sacramento. “Her man’s in there, and people are taking it as a joke.”
While Meeks says he appreciates the attention (thanks to his sexy mug shot, he’s been able to raise more than $3000 to pay for his legal expenses), he doesn’t want to be viewed as some kind of sex object.
“I’m not some kingpin,” he told ABC News 10 last week.
Meeks is currently being held in the San Joaquin County Jail on $900,000 bail. His next court date is set for June 27.

You know, while obviously there’s been a cultural fascination with this guy, and a continuous and grotesque adoration of straight and “straight” men by gay male culture, I can’t help but feel that at the current downward trajectory Queerty is going to have a post like this within a year or so:

Reportedly, he became to ripped as part of the often difficult process of holding his victims down, beating them with various objects, and ultimately gutting, dismembering, and disposing of them. Whew! That does sound like a workout.
Alas, readers, don’t get your hopes up like we did – all those victims were girls. Yup, he’s straight, and he says present hasn’t changed that.

The wife sounds like a piece of work. Instead of being upset and angry that the public is lusting after your husband, how about being upset and angry with your husband for being a thug, a criminal and a loser who can’t stay out of jail. Be mad that you need to come up with a million dollars to bail his dumb ass out of jail. The public finding your husband attractive is the least of your worries.
As for the rest of this story, I’m hoping this will finally die. I’m as frustrated about it as I was with Paris Hilton, the Jersey Shore cast and the Kardashians. Stop making nobodies into a celebrities. The man took a attractive mug shot. At the end of the day, he’s still a thug. End of story.

What is likely to come to light with Meeks is the “every day tactics of the police in that city”. In every criminal case in which “the whole world was watching”, the police and their tactics have been exposed. I would say there is a high probability that we will see the charges against Meeks dropped by the police in an attempt by them to evade a national spotlight.
It’s like with the Harlow Cuadra arrest in Virginia where, essentially, a rent boy was charged with Racketeering. Who the hell goes around charging hookers with RICO complaints? In Meeks’ case, he was essentially charged with racketeering for having a gun in the trunk of his car only the term “street terrorist” is being used. Terrorist / Racketeer, they both essentially boil down to an organized group of people engaged in a series of crimes.

His brother is a nice looking man, but not better looking than Jeremy. Also people are responding to Jeremy because he has that it factor,along with being incredibly photogenic. It’s not often that you see a handsome guy who looks both, demonic and angelic. Thuggish and rough, yet with a hint of softness, innocence and sexiness. And someone should talk some since into his head ask him would he rather be viewed as a sex object, or crim object? If you got it, ghosts go with it. Milk your sexy appeal for all it’s worth, and take advantage of any and every opportunity that come your way. It would be great if he did get a modeling contract or a chance to be on reality TV show. And to use that platform to speak out against a life of crime and violence, and to use the money, atleast some of it, to pay restitution to some of your victims. That’s one way to win the public over. Providing that he did not commit murder, rape or molest children, America loves an underdog, and will be willing to forget and forgive.

Actually, I used to visit a friend in prison, and observed that many of the inmates were very sexy, from every angle. My friend (an aboriginal) told the joke: What do you call an aboriginal body builder? Answer: Inmate. I am told that this is even more true in the jails (shorter-term sentences) where the inmates are more uniformly younger. I don’t recommend dating them, though.

I wouldn’t presume to condone or excuse the man, but an 18-year-old beating a 16-year-old senseless is not particularly unusual (sadly). Mark Wahlberg did far worse and is now celebrated as an actor (for no particular good reason) and role model (for many good reasons). He’s also an ongoing source of fascination for this site and it’s readers for undeniably far less male pulchritude than either Meeks brother. These men are startlingly beautiful. I hope they are able to turn their lives around and make the most of their considerable gifts.

He’s going to go right back into crime if/when he gets out unless there is some major intervention or rehabilitation. Judging from his record he’s been involved in a life of crime since childhood. Obviously it would be good if he uses his looks for something positive like modeling or even porn, but it’s very difficult for these types to do a complete 180.

And for those who age unfamiliar with the crime history of Mark Wahlberg, aka ( Marky Mark) like Jeremy, he to was in a gang in Boston, and did time behind bars. Had numerous runins with the law for thefts, vandalism and assaults. And in one horrific r@cially motivated hate-crime, put the eye out of an Asian man, which he ended up doing time for. If Mark Wahlberg can be given a second, third chance, then why can’t Jeremy??
