Yeah, a fat Jewish gay kid in Flint, Michigan probably did have a rough childhood, as publicist Howard Bragman explains. But telling kids that “It gets better” sort of comes off as an empty, meaningless gesture when you’re the guy who’s accepting blood money from a rich bigot like Doug Manchester, somebody who used his wealth to strip away rights from gay Californians. Another way to refer to people who use their power to push around the little guy: bullies. Bragman directly benefits from jerks like this. And this is the “character” — defending some bigots while trashing others — that Bragman says came from surviving that torment? Go away, Howard.
