Not content to screen his graphic gay porn PowerPoint slideshow only for reporters, Uganda’s Pastor Martin Ssempa is taking his stymied efforts to procure a million souls for a march in support of the Anti-Homosexuality Bill to the churches. Which is why he booted up the computer, and photos of men eating poop, for the faithful.
In front of a crowd of 300 at an evangelical church in Kampala , Ssempa narrated the photo display. “This one is eating another man’s penis,” he breathlessly remarked. “Is this what Obama wants to bring to Africa?”
Well, he does want to bring computers there, so, yeah, kinda.

He’s nuts, sad to say that if anti gay animosity were that bad here in the U.S. some lawmakers would do that sort of thing, especially the extremists evangelical types.

I’ll state the obvious – (and I’ve said it before)- The thing that is so obnoxiously, objectively wrong with this kind of tactic is that it is (an almost totally false) depiction of “us” vs. “them” US being all straight people are pure and innocent and THEM being Gays are all disgustingly perverse.
The truth of course, is that there is tons of straight porn, tons of straight prostitution, millions of kids not supported by the absent parent (mostly dads), millions of divorces, etc etc. etc.

Oh, I agree Adam – you actually cut to the chase a lot quicker than I did. That is precisely the point. Not always, but very often people spread falsehoods to feather their own nest. Nobody probably ever heard of this guy until he started this crap.

@cherryactrick: Christian missionaries, THAT’S what’s wrong. They used bribery to make converts (“love baby Jesus and I’ll give you the water/food/medicine you so desperately need”)and were themselves followers of such a conservative brand of “Christianity.” This combined with the fundamentalist Islamic power in the northern continent. I’m sure this is an oversimplification, but I kinda believe it’s at the root of the problem with the ideological issues of places like that. Maybe not, I don’t know. I’m not a cultural anthropologist…

christians have been going to africa to brainwash the africans into believe homosexuality is the biggest threat to them, wait i thought not having food water and developed infrastructure was. they won the christians one telling african churches that “homosexual men rape teenage boys all over america and destroy families”
homosexuality is not africa’s biggest problems poverty is. those priests are down right scum. holy shit i weep for my brothers who get accused of being gay, like a salem witch hunt.
