How You Know The Out NYC’s Nightlife-Hotel-Spa Complex Is Good For The Gays

We’ve already been over how the proprietors of The Out NYC — next fall’s new $20 million-ish complex that will have the word “OUT” scrawled in huge letters in the windows — can manage not to screw things up. But how can they really make sure New York’s gays welcome a space that tries to be all things (dance club! wedding chapel! late night bites!) to all gays? By giving, as MmmmMusto reports, “transsexual icon Amanda Lepore … a free permanent hotel room there.” For now she’s just “in talks” to receive one. I’m not sure if the Axel Hotel would write it off as a business expense or a charitable contribution.
