HRC staffer Brad Luna took a shot at CNN for their coverage of the Democratic “Compassion Forum” held at anti-gay Messiah University, “It is an unfortunate choice by CNN and we would rather have seen them hold this forum in a more welcoming environment.” Too bad CNN didn’t book the venue. Said the news network’s representative: “The organizers from Faith in Public Life invited the candidates, selected the venue, and they also invited CNN to telecast the event.” Whatever, we’re mostly disappointed gays didn’t come up once during the event, which went down last Sunday. It is weird that the issue of homosexuality was not brought up once. I suspect it’s because the Christians knew that both Obama and Clinton support gay people in pretty much every way except for full-on marriage.

Just been looking around the Faith in Public Life site and it appears like the organisation is actually very progressive when it comes to gay issues! Hurrah!

I didn’t watch the event. I’m pretty uninterested in the candidates’ opinions on invisible sky people.

Get a life. They are covering a news event at a college.

I am originally from the deep south…..& from that experience, I call for ALL us gays to demand our own bathrooms….& “water fountain†in public!
I remember a day when on “minority†was forced into this…..but I say we DEMAND it! I think that would be a symbol that WE, MUST be recognized!!!!! And we can slap the face of those who…..let’s see, denied certain right 40 yrs prior…..& 40 yrs prior to that, told “women they had no right to vote!â€
It’s 2008…..we ARE the “new minorityâ€â€¦..get busy people!!!
