Say what you will about the Human Rights Campaign — “All they do is throw black tie galas” … “They do more ‘announcing‘ and ‘applauding‘ than ‘acting'” … “They lie about their membership numbers to inflate the appearance of their influence” — but they can certainly draw a crowd of queer (Neil Patrick Harris, TR Knight, Candis Cayne, Cat Cora) and queer-friendly (Anne Hathaway, Judith Light) celebs and politicos into one room. Which is what they did on Saturday at HRC’s Annual Los Angeles Gala & Hero Awards. Behold, talent galore, though it appears Gus Van Sant and Dustin Lance Black (he was there!) had somewhere else to be. Unless photographers just didn’t catch ’em?

DLB was indeed there. I got my picture with him. As was Bruce Cohen.

I think you mean Cat Cora and not Cat Cord.
