Hugh Jackman Says Nude “X-Men” Scenes Were His Idea, Green Dick Sock Was Not

hugh-jackmanYou can thank Hugh Jackman himself for the gratuitous nude scenes you’ll be watching in X-Men: Days of Future Past this weekend.

The 45-year-old Aussie actor stopped by Live with Kelly & Michael this week, where he revealed that it was actually his idea to drop trou and show his ass in a suggestive post-coital scene for the film. It was not, however, his idea to wear a sock on his dick while filming them.

“It wasn’t written as a nude scene,” he tells Kelly and Michael. “The scene has Wolverine, because the whole premise of the movie is it has Wolverine traveling back in time to prevent something cataclysmic happening in the future. So I land back in 1973. I wake up — this is what the script says — wake up next to a girl who I don’t remember, and I get out of bed wearing boxer shorts.”

“I don’t know about America,” he added, “but in Australia, if you are next to a really good looking girl, you’re not getting out with boxer shorts on or briefs, or anything!”

But going commando doesn’t necessarily mean “full” commando in Hollywood — Jackman says he was directed to wear a bright green sock on his dick, so any dick slips could easily be edited out in post-production.

But the might of Wolverine’s dick cannot be contained in a neon green sock, which is why it literally went missing almost immediately. “By the end of the first take, I was like, ‘Yep, it’s gone, I don’t know where it is.'”

That’s when Kelly Ripa spoke on behalf of all gay men and horny stay-at-home moms everywhere: “It was more of a leg warmer, wouldn’t you say?”

Lulz all around. We bet a clever production assistant is fetching a great price for that sock on eBay right about now…
