Andrew J. Miller, the 40-year-old commissioner of the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles, has resigned from his post after being arrested on charges of soliciting a police officer for sex. Booked on Wednesday after cops followed up on complaints that somebody was going all Larry Craig in a downtown bathroom known forcruising, Miller, who is married with three kids allegedly exposed himself and asked the officer if he wanted to “touch it.”
According to the officer’s affidavit, “Miller shuffled to the front of his stall, with his pants around his ankles, and I observed Miller masturbating… Miller asked me twice if I wanted to touch it.”
He faces up to 60 days in jail and a $500 fine. I knew the DMV was stressful. I did not know working there required such release.

but is he a Republican? It’s only fun if they’re right-wingers…

Poor guy, only a fool would cheer on a police investigation specifically targeting gays. Even though the police don’t say so, they coerce these people and then change the story once they book them.

We’re supposed to take the police department’s word there were anonymous complaints, rather than believe they’re systematically targeting gay people? Yeah, right. And cops never beat up anybody before we all got videocameras on our phones.

Sad.

Closets are lonely places.

Two thoughts about this:
1. The DMV chief was inexcusably stupid and horny. Who the fuck masturbates in a public restroom? Also, who stands at a urinal with his pants at his ankles? I’m pretty chill, but even I would be bothered if I opened the door on that scene…
2. The arresting officer is lying. Regardless of how stupid/horny the DMV guy was, there’s no way he stripped naked and started jerking off for a stranger without some encouragement. I don’t know what form the encouragement took, but I’m sure the cop flirted heavily with the guy to get him to do it. All possible to do without committing entrapment…

Bastards made me wait for hours sitting in an uncomfortable metal chair in a stuffy room packed with the undesirables of society. And then to top it off they took the worst pictures of me ever.

His words say “touch it” but his eyes say “no really, touch my penis”.

How pathetic that all these closeted, married “straight” guys think the only place its safe to be “gay” is in a smelly, skanky, filthy, germ-infested, public restroom, probably among the most unerotic places on earth. It just shows you what kind of internal disgust and self-loathing the closet generates.

He’s not gay….he doesn’t kiss…

I have no doubt the police are luring gay men to public places for arrest on craigslist and other sex sites as well. I wonder how many straight guys would get arrested if a female undercover cop was luring them to public areas for sex? 100% of course.

There are lots more closeted Republican homosexuals than there are openly gay Democrats.

Indianapolis is entrapment city. Also a repugnican bastion. Go
figure.

Just another example of how our lack of acceptance and intolerant attitides towards GLBT force people to marry and be something they are not. He broke the law, but let’s not forget why so many are forced into the closet.

Echo most comments here- society forces career oriented people into conformity which equals married with children.
I totally agree with Fizzy Drink (post six) point #2 – no way this guy did all that stuff without encouragement.
And Ewe, we disagree a lot but you’re on target also – if a female officer was luring hetero males the entrapment rate would be 100%.
