This ad for Coby’s new Kyros tablet — which reads roughly, “It’s everything I love about him” — is supposedly the first national ad campaign in Tunisia to feature two gay men. Having never been to Tunisia, I have no idea if this is true! If it is, wonderful. But as Reddit user ptelder notes: “A Coby phone? Are we sure that isn’t a use of gay in the pejorative?” (While Arabic is the official language, decades of French occupation beginning in the 1880s, has left the language in use.)

Whatever it is, those 2 are drrreamy…

It is not. It isn’t actually an ad campaign. The company says it was put on the website by one of their trainees who isn’t from Tunisia and they took it down because they said it hurts “the countries values” and so on…

Ah cute, those oh-so-gay-friendly muslims eh?
Oh no, wrong dream. I’ve just woken up.
Muslims eh? So gay friendly.

I would like to see these ads in mainstream publications, not the silly little gay ones with their cloistered mentality.
