Italian Teenager Commits Suicide After Constant Homophobic Bullying

ItalyA 14-year-old boy in Rome has committed suicide after being bullied and a struggle to accept his sexual orientation, reports Pink News.

The teenager, whose name hasn’t yet been released, killed himself by jumping from a balcony on August 11 and is reported to have left his family two apologetic messages —one handwritten and the other on a USB drive.

One of the messages read: “I am a homosexual, no one understands my drama and I do not know how to make it acceptable to my family.”

Although his friends said they were unaware the boy was suffering, investigators have revealed the boy was subject to constant bullying, including text messages on his phone about his sexual orientation which proved to be too difficult for the teen who felt he had no one to turn to.
