Nobody does a sex scandal quite like the Italians! A public official. Tens of thousands of misused taxpayer euros. Secret gay sex clubs. A TV show called The Hyenas. The Hyenas!
Reuters reported Monday that Francesco Spano, the head of Italy’s National Office Against Racial Discrimination (UNAR), has resigned after The Hyenas, an investigative news show, claimed that the anti-discrimination office funneled 55,000 euros to three gay venues that offer male sex workers and dark rooms for sexual encounters.
According to the UK’s Pink News, Spano was also listed as a member of one of the clubs, a fact which he could not explain.
The scandal has reportedly lead to homophobic backlash against the department in Italy, while LGBT rights org GayLib’s Daniele Priori had called for the Italian government to verify who receives UNAR funds, but not to shut the department down.
How about we take this to the next level?

The UK is pretty good in the sex scandal department. British sex scandals like the Profumo Affair have brought the entire government to its knees. The (most?) recent one starring Labour MP Hon. Keith Vaz, in which he paid for sex and asked the sex worker to bring poppers, etc., was pretty dull by comparison.

Why would a bath house or sex club have to offer male prostitutes to the people who go there? There are plenty of people who go to such places who will have sex with people for free.

Because some of the regular patrons may be looking for something young and sexy.
