Ivanka Trump wants to help with the immigration crisis happening at the country’s border…so she’s throwing money at it in hopes that it will go away.
Pastor Jack Graham of the Prestonwood Baptist Church, a megachurch in Texas, just received a $50,000 check from the first daughter.
But Graham, who serves as a member of Donald Trump’s Religious Advisory Council, has a long history of antigay activism.
In 2014, he worked to repeal a non-discrimination ordinance in Texas. A year later, in 2015, he attacked the Supreme Court over marriage equality, calling it a “disaster in our beloved nation.”

“This is an old fight dating back to the Garden of Eden when Satan seduced the first family with lies and deception,” Graham wrote. “The same lies are in play today.”

While $50,000 may seem like a lot to most people, it’s actually just a drop in the bucket for Ivanka, who, along with her husband, Jared Kushner, raked in a clean $82 million last year.
CBN reports that the donation was marked “for the Dallas, Texas church’s efforts to care for migrants”–the very migrants her father is currently holding in makeshift concentration camps and separating from their families.
After receiving the money, Graham praised Ivanka for her generosity.
“Hopefully, Ivanka’s generosity will inspire many other Americans to get off the sidelines and actually provide tangible help to those in need,” he said.
He added: “The beauty of America and the people in our church is that we don’t have to wait for our politicians to sort out their disagreements in order to do what is right.”

Before they found out about all of his debt Ivanka converted so she could Marry Jared Kushner.
They have also lied to use her conversion to try to blunt criticism of Trump’s anti-Semitism. They lied and claimed she was Orthodox and media repeated that claim…even though at least media in NYC should know that Orthodox women don’t wear short skirts and married ones cover their hair with either wigs or scarves out in public.
So this is just another example of the Trump’s doing whatever they can for their own benefit. First, she converts to marry into a wealthy family when hers was bankrupt and 2 lie about her religion to blunt attacks on her dad.

I thought both her and her husband belonged to a liberal branch of Judaism, I didn’t even realize that she’s supposed to be “Orthodox” – However your assessment of her marrying into a rich family and needing to convert to do it is extremely plausible.
My impression of Judaism that a person needs to study on its history and laws before converting? Orthodox Rabbis are also extremely strict on who they consider a Jew too, was one paid off?

Hi Hussain,
ALL conversions are done by Orthodox rabbis. But you can convert to a more liberal form of Judaism, the conversion is simply handled by an Orthodox rabbi. I’m guessing this is some deal done with Israel or within Judaism in exchange for something. Who knows.
But when people would ask a question about Ivanka they started to dodge “She is Orthodox, she was converted by an Orthodox Rabbi”. Well yeah they left out the part that ALL conversions are done by Orthodox rabbis.
This is how much B.S. the media will report. Here is an article about Ivanka supposedly converting to Orthodox Judaism. And yet look at the picture she posed for. Hair uncovered, Shoulders uncovered, in a skirt that no doubt showed her legs. ABC would obviously know that she wasn’t behaving Orthodox and yet still ran the story.

“Jewess” is about as welcome a term in 2018 as “Negress” or “Octaroon”, I assume you mean no disrespect to Jews, but it kind of felt like a slap in the face to me.
Ivanka’s Judiasm, like her husband’s, is largely a pose. They are referred to in the mainstream as “Orthodox Jews”, but from their dress (especially hers) and actions they quite obviously are not. Even in this photo she is bearing her shoulders something even “Modern Orthodox” would not do in a photograph like this, nor would they dream of wearing a dress which displayed cleavage in public as she does all the time. I have never seen him with a kippah on or with visible tzitzis. And were they observant they would hardly eat at any of the state dinners, even at the white house unless their food was specifically prepared elsewhere and served on china and with utensils that had not contacted traif.
Orthodox Jews would never donate money to a megachurch. Other Jews might, but it would only be after careful vetting of the institution and certainty of where the money was going. Jews, even secular ones, are wisely suspicious of fundamentalists, evangelicals and the supposed “messianic Jews” (Christians that play at being Jews but believe in the Christian deities).

Thank you for the explanation, I really appreciate it – For me it sounds extremely strange for a Jewish person to give a donation to an Evangelical church, especially when considering that Jews don’t believe in Jesus at all, not to mention the historical persecution of Jews in Europe.

I assumed you meant no disrespect, but simply wanted to correct you. Ivanka and Jared drive me crazy as the media have latched onto her conversion as an example of how it is impossible for trump (and by extension his supporters and sycophants) to be anti-Semitic. You are certainly likely to understand how people can mask their anti-Muslim feelings and yet still think of you as “lesser”. And you are in a unique position to understand the difference between the zionism of Jews who desire a refuge and the fake zionism of the evangelicals who long for the “end times”, something Ivanka and Jared seem totally in the dark about.
As for Jesus, some of us think he might have been an historical figure, certainly none of us think he was “the son of God”, born to be tortured to death as a human sacrifice! And most of us see our faith as more closely related to Islam than to Christianity (with its undeniably strong tie to Roman pantheism and idol worship). Muslims are tied to Abraham, genetically and theologically, Christians not at all. I was dating a young Muslim man for a while (American and assimilated to a large extent), but stopped seeing him because I can’t easily be around people who smoke (which sucked because he was Persian and beautiful and as Bette Midler said, in a paraphrase, “20 goes into 60 more times than 60 goes into 20”).

I do agree with you that Ivanka and Jared seem to be extremely oblivious to how Evangelicals view the Jewish people; she maybe aware but for political reasons may not care. Many Israelis in power are taking advantage of this “end days” evangelical belief but I think it’s extremely dangerous and a double edged sword against the Israelis themselves, which I also think the majority of Jews in Israel are oblivious to.
It seems to me that Ivanka is the one who wears the pants in that family, and her political aspirations are quite evident to anyone paying close attention to her. I don’t think she cares about religion at all, I cant read what is in her heart so I cant comment on her conversion, but giving money to a pastor that believes that the returning jesus is going to destroy the Jewish people at the end of days is extremely strange.

Dwes09, that is a preposterous statement, since Christians study the Old Testament, particularly the tales and legends of Genesis, with regularity.
Abraham and Sarah, their son Isaac and his near-sacrifice, and the lessons to be learned from it, are very familiar to Christians throughout the world.
The bond between Christians and Jews is called the Judeo-Christian tradition for a reason.
