Give it up

James Corden and Jeffrey Tambor battle over John Boyega — can you blame them?

The year was 1998. Singers Brandy and Monica were at the height of their popularity, on track to becoming the next generation of feisty R&B divas. Their duet “The Boy Is Mine” was a huge hit, earning them the Grammy for Best R&B Performance by a Duo, plus nominations for Record of the Year and Best R&B Song.

Now, James Corden and Jeffrey Tambor have remade the iconic bitchslap of a song, giving it a gay twist. Rather than fighting over some unnamed gentleman, they’re going head-to-head over the affections of Star Wars: The Force Awakens star John Boyega.

The parody was recorded for Corden’s talk show The Late Late Show and includes all the high gloss camp of the original, and then some.

Watch.
