The year was 1998. Singers Brandy and Monica were at the height of their popularity, on track to becoming the next generation of feisty R&B divas. Their duet “The Boy Is Mine” was a huge hit, earning them the Grammy for Best R&B Performance by a Duo, plus nominations for Record of the Year and Best R&B Song.
Now, James Corden and Jeffrey Tambor have remade the iconic bitchslap of a song, giving it a gay twist. Rather than fighting over some unnamed gentleman, they’re going head-to-head over the affections of Star Wars: The Force Awakens star John Boyega.
The parody was recorded for Corden’s talk show The Late Late Show and includes all the high gloss camp of the original, and then some.
Watch.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.

There’s a fine line between a straight ally who is super comfortable with his heterosexuality and offensive gay/bi face.

Have I mentioned how much I hate James Corden?
Consider it done.

And also the mention of “owning” another human being – especially a black person (not African American). Ugh – so much to hate about this video.
Kangol
Not into the “owning” of John Boyega, especially by these two white dudes, but I gotta say, he gets hotter with each passing year. He’s def a sexy man, and you can see he’s going to age very well.

Yeah I do not like the gay/bi face either its offensive .
However that being said I do not particularly like John either he has never once acknowledged the LGBT community only the typical gay tease regarding the Star Wars films.
He is also from Nigeria and praises that country constantly a country mind you that has condemned LGBT in general and attempted to enact a KILL THE GAYS BILL years ago.
Sorry but that is no one I would ever consider an ally .
Though James made a definite mistep with this video the difference is he has genuinely shown compassion and support for our community unlike John.
As has Jeffrey Tambor for that matter .
