After marrying fiancee Justin Mitka later this month, Modern Family‘s Jesse Tyler Ferguson will be gifting his presence to New Zealand’s first married couple aboard a two-hour flight from Queenstown to Auckland.
Ferguson will be hosting the country’s first-ever marriage ceremony from the clouds when the bill legalizing same-sex marriage in New Zealand goes into effect on August 21. Air New Zealand will be determining which lucky couple will get the honor later this month, but say they invited Ferguson in order to attract worldwide attention to the historic date.
“Naturally, the couple’s family and friends will want to be on hand for the special occasion,” said Air New Zealand’s head of global brand development Jodi Williams, “so we have plenty of seats set aside for them.”
The airline also sweetened the prize by providing the couple with a honeymoon in Palm Springs, where they can watch gay porn stars skateboard in their underwear. What could possibly be better than that?!
How about we take this to the next level?
