Positive reactions to today’s SCOTUS ruling have flooded in from far and wide, but none is perhaps a better image than Jill Biden‘s description of her vice presidential husband Joe at The White House.
Here’s what she (OK it’s a parody account, but we still loves it) posted on Twitter:
Joe is running through the halls with a rainbow flagged tied on like a cape high fiving everyone. #MarriageEquaility #LoveWins #SCOTUS
— Jill Biden (@JillBidenVeep) June 26, 2015
Gosh darn’it if we just can’t help but love ya, Joe.
Naturally, it didn’t take the internet long to come up with this supportive visual:
How about we take this to the next level?

Thank you, Joe. You are expressing the joy we all feel. And thank you, Barack, for sharing the beauty of this moment. This day is a great day for civil rights, an enormous day for the advancement of equality, and a profoundly historic day for the United States of America.

Thank you Mr. Vice President! I never thought marriage equality would come this soon. Thank you for your courage in publicly supporting us and saying we have the right to marry who we love!
Chuck Davis
That – is – AMAZING!!

Clinton and Obama campaigned against gay marriage in 2008. Biden voted for DOMA.
This is what politicians do.

Remember he’s the one who really got the ball rolling in this last round. He pushed Obama out on this issue and it’s been a winning streak ever since. Plus he celebrates today with us even while going through the personal hell of losing a second child.Say what you will about his politics, but he is a good man.

I love joe more then Obama

Joe Biden rocks!!!
JG McKay
He’s such a blow hard.Every time he opens his mouth his foot is in there. He’s Obama’s “Dan Quayle”.
Clark35
@JG McKay: Agreed. Obama = bush on steroids. Anyone who says they like Obama and disliked bush have their heads up their collective asses. Obama has continued (and doubled down on) all of Dubyas policies. And you people cheer, clap, and scream for it…
Captain Obvious
Of course there are a ton of idiots who couldn’t wait to spit in the face of the only president who not only was brave enough to support us but actually push to make our rights happen. No other president has done this and Biden isn’t president, he did nothing, and risked nothing. Shameful, morons, praising the wrong man because he’s white. God forbid you admit a black man helped us. You, ungreatful idiots won’t ruin a moment that should unite everyone. Your white supremacy complex is what made it take this long in the first place. One day you’ll grow up or die off whichever comes first. Glad younger gay generations don’t seem to have these race hang ups despite your every attempt to pass them on.

LOVE these guys!!!!

@Captain Obvious: You’re just as bad as the gun man that walked into that church. You sound like you want a race war.

Many marriages end in the first year, most end in the first 7 years. Many of the younger set just elect to live together and forego marriage. The concept of marriage is used to limit ability to get health care or even to visit one another in a health care facility. Yet many folks still treat marriage as more special than the next step after going steady. Marriage is what people make of it until divorce then it is a excuse for the state to control peoples lives. Marriage has had many faces over time
