The wait is nearly over! Thirty-one years after Pee-wee’s Big Adventure, the playfully eccentric man-boy who taught a generation of Reagan-era kids that it’s OK to be different is back with a new movie. Pee-wee’s Big Holiday finds our childlike hero (Paul Reubens) working at a diner just living his life until a dark handsome stranger (Joe Manganiello) wanders in for a milkshake and reminds Pee-wee that he’s still got a lotta living to do.

In a recent New York Times profile, Reubens described the movie as ‘‘a bit of a bromance.”
