Thirty-five years after Dan White gunned down San Francisco Mayor George Moscone alongside openly gay City Supervisor Harvey Milk, Moscone’s son, Jonathan Moscone, married Darryl Carbonaro in San Francisco, reports New York Times.
The couple were married in City Hall November 8 by Willie L. Brown Jr., the former mayor of San Francisco.
“I proposed at the bar of the NoMad Hotel in New York in January,” Moscone recently told SF Gate. “It was spur of the moment, and I asked him to marry me by the end of the year.”
Moscone is the artistic director of the California Shakespeare Theater in Berkeley. Carbonaro, who has roots in New York State, is the associate general of the SF-based Clean Power Finance.
How about we take this to the next level?

Moscone did not let the importance of being married on the Mayor’s Balcony of City Hall pass him by. “It’s significant that the bust of my father is there. We will be able to see the bust from where we are standing,” he reflected before the nuptials.
