Will there be a Gold Digging Barbie to go along with Mattel’s new Palm Beach Sugar Daddy Ken? Probably not. But only because this Ken obviously doesn’t swing Barbie’s way any more (or, ever?), and not because Mattel is above exploiting women.
Ken “exemplifies fantastic Palm Beach fashion,” according to a company spokeswoman, in what was likely not a straight face. Sugar Daddy Ken is also targeted toward the Barbie brand’s adult consumers — who are more adept at understanding what a “sugar daddy” is. Because Mattel would have you believe it refers to Ken’s dog. Named Sugar.

Daddy of bad 80s taste? Billy was anatomically more appealing…and Barbie reads the news on CNN!

Nice price tag. I don’t know which is more ridiculous, the doll, the price, or the fact that there are adult buyers.
