“When leaders are faced with citizen’s anxiety, we have a choice to make… do we exploit that anxiety, or do we allay it? Exploiting it is easy, but in order to allay it, we need to be prepared to answer some very direct questions: What will create the good, well-paying jobs that people want and need and deserve? What will strengthen and grow the middle class, and help those working hard to join it? What will build an economy that works for everyone? What will help to make the world a safer, more peaceful place? To allay people’s anxiety, we need to create economic growth that is broadly shared, because a fair and successful world is a peaceful one.
We believe we should confront anxiety with a clear plan to deal with its root causes, and we believe we should bring people together around shared purposes like the UN’s sustainable development goals, because what is the alternative? To exploit anxiety? To turn it into fear and blame? To reject others because they look or speak or pray differently than we do? Every single day, we need to choose hope over fear, diversity over division.”— Justin Trudeau, not-so-subtly taking a dig at Donald Trump‘s dismal campaign strategies during his first address to the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday evening.

Can we elect Justin Trudeau as our next President?
Hussain-TheCanadian
I can watch the Prime Minister give speeches all day long; he’s the only man i’d call “daddy”.
Billy Budd
He is just perfect. I love him.
MikeE
@Hussain-TheCanadian: LOL, I certainly wouldn’t.. mostly because he’s much younger than I am. I remember the big hubbub when Pierre Elliot and Margaret had their kids.
But count me as a fervent supporter of his.
Bob LaBlah
Trust me, Justin, you don’t know what anxiety is until this election is over. And I bet that intellectually starved, sixth grade english speaking brat from 5th Ave. wins. Be patient. I mean BOTH sides are fielding candidates who honestly do believe they are ENTITLED to the presidency of the United States. This is just as disgusting and it is scary.
Slash
I can’t express how much I love this guy. So feverishly jealous of Canada for electing the future while we’re stuck with so many bad choices. We should be able to keep Obama in until better options surface.
Horse Lips
Hot & smart; what’s not to love?

Wow. If only we had someone like this in the U.S. Sincere, intelligent, well spoken, progressive. This man has more to say in ten minutes then Trump has in a lifetime. To hear him and still think someone like Trump is a viable leader is ludicrous and frightening. And, yeah, he’s hot and has great hair!
