Well, it’s not like I have a choice. I didn’t vote for him. Nevertheless, he did get the most electoral votes, and that’s enough to win him the White House. I have no choice but to watch how events unfold. My guess is that a LOT of the people who voted for him are going to start having so major misgivings within the next year or two, but we shall see.

I’m so sick of this “give him a chance” nonsense. Nobody is preventing his from acting as President-elect. We’re just watching and commenting on what he is doing. Let’s see. He picked a conversion therapy proponent for Veep and staffed his transition with some heinous anti-gay charlatans. Then there’s all that white supremacist crap. And he has apparently promised people he will revoke an executive order prohibiting discrimination by government contractors. Who knows if he will — he’s not know for keeping his promises. But be clear, if gay and lesbian rights gets in the way of him lining his pockets, we are toast.

And, btw, Kelly, he won the electorate vote, not the people’s vote.
Theoretically, 30 million could vote in one blue state and 2 million in another five red states , and under the electoral college, if the majority of those 2million votes, however slim, cast them for whatever creature ran, that said creature would get all 5 electoral votes. Time to get rid of that system, especially as the populations thin out in these increasingly uneducated, isolated hillbilly states.

@JoeyRamone: Actually, Trump hasn’t even won the Electoral College vote yet. That vote doesn’t happen until Dec. 19.
Also, as much as I disagree with this particular outcome (if he wins the EC), that system is in place for very good reasons. Look it up.

What is Ms. Osbourne talking about exactly? Mr. Trump is being given an enormous chance from now until election day in 2020 to prove himself. He has taken that chance in the last 30 days and used it to appoint the most bigoted cabinet imaginable, made major foreign policy faux pas, and committed numerous actions that indicate he intends to use the power of the Presidency to enhance his own wealth. So, he has his chance and he’s using it.
What Ms. Osbourne really seems to mean is that she would like us all to sit down and be quiet until he actually harms us. I’m sorry, but wherever he opposes civil rights, civil liberties, and economic & social justice, he must be opposed from the very beginning. If he should ever seek to do something good, as Frederick Douglass said, “I would unite with anybody to do right and with nobody to do wrong.”
