“Kellyanne, that’s makes no sense!”
That’s not the title of a Johnny Cash deep cut; it’s how Matt Lauer capped his interview with Kellyanne Conway on The Today Show this morning.
As Lauer attempted to eke out a coherent timeline regarding Michael Flynn’s fallout with Trump, Conway kept iterating that Flynn had Trump’s full support.
Lauer prods her:
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
So had he not resigned the president would have continued with him as National Security Advisor even though he misled the Vice President and the administration about the contents of that call?
Conway’s vague reply: “That fact is what became unsustainable…I think misleading the Vice President really was the key here.”

So Lauer backs her into a corner:
So wait a minute – you’re saying that was the straw that broke the camel’s back but the White House knew about that last month when the Justice Department warned the White House that Mr. Flynn…had not been completely honest in characterizing that conversation with the Russian Ambassador. They even went further to say as a result of that dishonesty, he was at risk of blackmailing by the Russians.
Conway responds:
That’s one characterization, but the fact is that General Flynn continued in that position and was in the presidential daily briefings, was part of the leader calls, as recently as yesterday.
Bringing us back to the mantra:
“Kellyanne, that makes no sense!”

I do feel sorry for her. I think it’s finally dawned on her the magnitude of the fresh hell she helped unleash on the world. I also think it’s dawned on her how mentally unstable Trump is. Oh, well, we’re all just going too have to persist and resist . . . at lease the GOP members in the House and Senate get tired of Trump’s histrionic antics and impeach his sorry ass.

The GOP is complicit with their green-light, lockstep sanction of this administration. They all voted for Jeffrey Beauregard Sessions the III. They will never live this time down. When the GOP has power, they abuse it. Do not forget this.

I am positive the GOP is forming a transitional government as we speak. They know it is now or never. The guy proved the disaster both neocon columnists Charles Krauthhammer and George Will both warned about. George Will was forced out of Fox last week because he refused blind support and Krauthhammer might be right behind him. The entire bunch over at Fox are clearly disgusted defending him and it shows in their tone and facial expressions.
After being a panelist over the weekend on two Sunday morning talk shows I bet Laura Ingraham (the Nazi salute at the GOP convention) will leave by next week. She was clearly not defending Trump and was pained to even try staying supportive of anything related to Trump.

I agree. She looks very drawn and most likely knows the gig is up shortly. They don’t have to do a lengthy impeachment, the 25th amendment provides for throwing a net over him and dragging him out of the white house if declared mentally unstable. Done, over.

Wow. What a fun image. Now Jim is wrestling with an alligator, oh, a snapping turtle, who let Mitch in here?
Terrycloth
She never answers the question ..no matter how many different ways you ask it to her. Double speak or repeating the same thing over and over not only makes you look bad kelly it show how unqualified you are to be a spokesperson and a incredibly bad one at that….keep her off these talk shows…
Low Country Boy
I agree with what you are saying, but I have to disagree that she is unqualified to be Trump’s spokesman. She has mastered the art of deflection. Because there are so many lies coming from the Trump Administration, deflection is the only viable tactic for her to use. Believe me, I’m no fan of hers, but she has the hardest job on the planet! Lol!
GayEGO
She looks so tired, almost like a banshee. I imagine a TV screen she is facing that shows Trump giving her a stern look to stop her from saying anything he does not like.

Another pathetic, and embarrassing presidency… Would have been the same with Hillary, or Bernie… When people stop acting retarded, and start respecting the constitution, and the free market- we won’t have this problem anymore.
PRINCE OF SNARKNESS aka DIVKID
So, he was booted because he was publically CAUGHT breaking the rules and lying about it, NOT because he broke the rules and lied . Such honourable folks at the helm of the most powerful nation on Earth! Even Machiavelli would think this lot were a bit much…if he could get past the amateurish, cringe incompetence of it all.. Evil ain’t what it used to be!
PRINCE OF SNARKNESS aka DIVKID
This bitches shtick is beyond a joke now. It’s embarrassing as well as profoundly ominous for the long term health of democracy. The problem is your media is too deferential to,power. Watch how the Brits correctly hold these truth-averse, contemptuously arrogant PUBLIC SERVANTS to account:
This lying tool was a leader of the Conservative party https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pyqnu6ywhR4

Circular logic is going down the drain.
Bad Ass Biker
Nothing can make me feel bad about this saggy, baggy faced liar.

Look around. Everybody is aging before my twitching eyes. The light has gone out of the eyes of many. The weight of bad leadership is aging everyone. Even deluded trumpers get the blues. Obama looks great. I’m so glad he’s having fun and getting well-deserved rest. 2018 could tell a story about resilience. 1,434 days left to go.
ferraria
I don’t feel sorry for her, and whatever we do, let’s not attempt to normalize this totally abnormal presidency.

What we heard from Kellyanne: My boss lies. Everyone under him follows his lead and lies too. He doesn’t mind liars like Gen. Flynn as long as they’re useful to him. In fact, only liars are useful to him. It is a job requirement. Take me for example.
