This just in: the Craigslist page for Leeds, England has become inundated with ads posted by men offering to get naked and clean people’s houses for cash.
Dozens of ads have popped up in the “household services” section in recent weeks.
“Slim fit straight male doing cleaning and household chores in Leeds and York areas,” one reads, “No children or single males please.”
Another guy from the Roundhay area, who describes himself as a “hairy, rugby guy”, is advertising himself as a “naked gay odd job man for men.”
“I’m looking for some extra cash,” he writes. “I’ll be naked.”
In March, Craigslist announced it was killing its Personals section after the Senate passed the Allow States and Victims to Fight Online Sex Trafficking Act (FOSTA), which essentially makes it easier for victims of sex trafficking, as well as prosecutors, to sue websites that allow sex traffickers to post ads on their platforms.
Of course, people are very clever and will never fail to find create ways to get their rocks off.
It remains to be seen just how Craigslist will manage this latest workaround.

I’m confused. I thought this was just a u.s. thing.
I see the ads are just as crazy and unrealistic is as ever though. Always centers around gay guys and their straight guy lust.

it was supposed to be just a USA thing but it seems Craigslist is not taking any chances!

If their servers are located in the US it is probably prudent for the company to take those ads down, or else risk crossing the law. Craigslist wasn’t even the intended target of the sex tracking legislation, backpage was the real culprit. Ironically, I hadn’t even heard of backpage until after Craigslist chose to take their personal ads down.

Clever!

Cutting the personals on US Craigslist in response to the new legislation was understandable, though still cowardly. Cutting the personals on other Craigslist pages around the world is just dumb. We can only assume that whoever runs Craigslist is one of those dumb Americans who thinks the entire world is in lockstep with the US.

The article and the commenters are making assumptions that may or may not be true. There are many nude cleaning services that are nonsexual.
The person hiring the service may be turned on by seeing naked guys cleaning his house, but the guys aren’t doing anything but cleaning.
Also, there are some people who just enjoy being naked. I’m one of them. I do almost all (indoor) household repair jobs naked, for myself and for friends. So the guy advertising, “Cleaning, painting, washing, moving furniture, small DIY jobs,” etc,m may have totally innocent things in mind.

So now Craigslist will be inundated with ads like “Need your pipes cleaned”? Naked plumber will “snake” your hole. /|\
