Don Jr.’s fiancee first met with the panel in early March. She went voluntarily, but after butting heads with several lawmakers, she ended the interview early. So, the committee issued a subpoena demanding she return to finish answering their questions. Which leads us to yesterday.

Guilfoyle, who helped raise funds for Donald Trump‘s pre-insurrection rally on January 6 and was seen dancing backstage at the event, arrived at the federal office building on Capitol Hill yesterday morning for a nine and a half hour in-person interview.

Her lawyer, Joe Tacopina, wouldn’t comment on the interview, but he previously said that Guilfoyle “has done nothing wrong” and would answer all questions truthfully.

Meanwhile, Rep. Bennie Thompson, the committee’s Democratic chairman, said last month, “Ms. Guilfoyle met with Donald Trump inside the White House, spoke at the rally that took place before the riot on January 6th, and apparently played a key role organizing and raising funds for that event.”

In January, the committee obtained Guilfoyle’s phone records, including all incoming and outgoing calls made on and around January 6, 2021, as well as a log of her texts. Lawmakers are now working to learn more about her meetings with the ex-president and members of his team, including daughter Ivanka, the morning of the deadly attack.
