WHAT FRIENDS ARE FOR

In Wake Of “Liz & Dick” Fallout, Gaga Gives Lindsay Rave Review

Lindsay Lohan’s comeback vehicle might have struck a few pedestrians before drunkenly crashing headfirst into a pole at 90 mph, but at lest she’s still got one pal on her side: BFF Lady Gaga.

Liz & Dick was derided by critics the world over for the awful script, the wooden acting, the laughable production costs, etc., etc., leaving Lindsay reportedly devastated.

To make matters even worse, the ratings didn’t redeem the project’s quality (or lack thereof).

EW reports that Liz & Dick was only Lifetime’s fourth highest-rated made-for-television movie this year (ouch), behind the all-black Steel Magnolias (understandably so, after all: Alfre Woodard) and crap we’ve never even heard of — Drew Peterson: Untouchable and Abducted: The Carlina White Story.

But leave it to Gaga to shine a loving light on her Ladyfriend. Gags and Linds have become fast friends, shacking up a the Chateau Marmont and even working together on a video for the Lady’s upcoming ARTPOP project. On Monday the poptart tweeted:

@lindsaylohan you did a beautiful job on Liz & Dick, Let no one bring u down, Liz didnt, they always try to knock the greats down a few pegs

And you know what, Lady Gaga’s right. Years from now, when Liz & Dick is a camp classic on par with Valley of the Dolls and Beyond the Valley of the Dolls, who’s going to be talking about Abducted or Untouchable and their damn explanatory use of colons? No one, that’s who.

The black Steel Magnolias, however, is already a classic. C’mon…Alfre Fucking Woodard.
