Lady Gaga Tweets Thanks To Russian PM Over Gay Propaganda Stance

Lady Gaga‘s Born This Way Ball pawed its way to St. Petersburg where a ban on gay propaganda landed fellow pop superstar/rival Madonna in hot water just a few months ago.

But after Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev indicated that their won’t be a similar ban for the entire country, Mother Monster tweeted her appreciation:

“Prime Minister Thank You Prime Minister Medvedev for not standing by your party’s anti gay propaganda law & instead supporting my show+fans all over Russia.”

She added:

“Prime Minister Medvedev please accept my gratitude I am looking forward to performing in RUSSIA & celebrating our cultures coming together.”

Madge had incensed anti-gay activists by flagrantly flouncing the city’s ban on gay propaganda (by pretty much just showing up in St. Petersburg), leading to a $10 million lawsuit that was eventually dropped for being generally ridiculous.
