“Orange Is the New Black” star Lea DeLaria announced her split with fiancée in an Instagram post this week, where she showed the couple is taking it all in stride and haven’t lost their sense of humor.

DeLaria shared a video featuring their engagement photo, which featured their faces placed over those of Liza Minnelli and David Gest, along with the Roxette song, “It Must Have Been Love.”
Calling the photo “eerily prophetic” since their relationship “has gone the way of David and Liza.” But she notes that there is an exception: unlike in their case, this split is amicable.

“Please exclude us from the tragic and basic celebrity breakup narrative,” DeLaria wrote. “We were happy together for four years and will remain in each other’s lives. In fact, we look forward to finding new ways to torture each other. We would like to thank our incredible friends and families for their love and support.”
DeLaria and Fairless met during the first season of “Orange Is the New Black,” through actress Emma Myles. DeLaria told Out that they hit it off immediately.

Aww, I’m genuinely sorry to hear that. Love Lea. LOVE. HER. But I’m glad that they seem to be taking it in stride.
