Because American Apparel’s “Legalize Gay” campaign — where the retailer gets every homosexual to wear a different colored variation of an outrageous political statement — was so successful in overthrowing Prop 8, there is now a “Legalize Trans” campaign, which is actually supposed to draw attention to American Apparel’s non-inclusive effort. OK! [via]

Please stop earing American Apparel. Ugly ugly poorly made clothes sold by ugly ugly poorly raised children.

Not to mention that their CEO is a serial sexual-harrasser and requires his employees be *pretty*.
I’m not a fan of this slogan, it doesn’t make sense.

I’m all for Trans rights but it seems like their activists are trying to disenfranchise our allies simply because they aren’t trans-friendly enough. Grow up and focus your attacks on our enemies not our friends.

Bought my 2 shirts! Who cares about American Apparel? I didn’t buy this shirt as a message against them, I bought it because of the message, period. To me, it’s all about ENDA. I assume that’s in the spirit of the Legalize Gay shirts, to draw attention to the disparities forced upon the gay community. There is a lack of inclusiveness in the LGBT community. Sure, it varies, but just look at the above. One commenter even saying for Trans peeps to grow-up…really.

@John S: I don’t believe one can be not trans-friendly, not accepting, or not realize trans politics is part of the entire LGBTQ fight and be a friend or ally… great project and a great way to raise awareness go Legalize Trans

These shirts rock and I love what they’re about!!! This is the real deal. Support trans people and order a shirt 🙂

Maybe the tee shirts can have “Legalize Trains” on them, with the “i” in “Trains” being in a very small font.
