Members of the Pilgrim United Church of Christ in Maple Grove, Minnesota thought they had been harassed for the last time after their church was vandalized with anti-gay graffiti last month. Unfortunately, if there’s one thing we know about homophobic douchebags, it’s that they’ll never rest.
Last Sunday, the Pilgrim United congregation arrived at church to find more invasive vandalism, this time noticing that the building had been egged, painted with the phrase “Gay Pride? NO! Shameful Sodomites!”, and locked with a pair of handcuffs around the front door handles.
Pastor Robin Raudabaugh told KARE 11 last month that the church is being targeted because of its support for gay marriage. “Some people wonder if our message is getting out,” he said, “but this proves that people do hear us.”
Local law enforcement promised Raudabaugh last month that they would patrol the area more diligently, and are now “investigating all leads,” even though there are none.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
“We are investigating this crime as a bias motivated crime,” said Maple Grove Police Captain Keith Terlinden. “A hate crime is not necessarily a word we use in law enforcement, but we are investigating this as a bias motivated crime.”
“Hate crime” is not a word used in law enforcement? Well that’s something we’ve never heard before…

Cameras, including some that are hidden. Recording done offsite, because this is clearly escalating and when/if worse is done you don’t want the evidence stolen or destroyed.

They need more security (cameras) if the police won’t help…..

Well, if there are no clues then surely it is the hand of God. Is this place within driving distance from the Westborough baptinistas?

@Harley: Only in the sense that anything not separated by an ocean or unbridged river is within driving distance of anything else. Besides, it’s not their style; they’re very much into being as obnoxious as possible *within the law.*
