Surely, as New Jersey’s State Senate today votes on the Freedom of Religion and Equality in Civil Marriage Act (that’s what Sens. Loretta Weinberg and Raymond Lesniak are calling their gay marriage bill), you’re going to want to watch the entire thing go down … live, right? Well now you can! Because while the Prop 8 trial may be on a one-day YouTube delay, your Jersey lawmakers are webcasting their showdown live.
It’s scheduled to start at 2pm (which is why the video feed won’t load until then), and if you don’t have any popcorn nearby, might we suggest you feast on this.

UPDATE: Senate votes no.

I can’t seem to get the link to work. Is it working for anyone else?

I think it’s another hour before it gets started. Maybe the link will work by then.

I can’t seem to pull up the embed code… Can you email it to me? I’ll send credit your way, of course, but our readers will want to watch, too.
Thanks!

Why bother?

The feed is Rick Steve’s Europe. Maybe karma is stating to go to Europe.

Why the blank don’t these things allow buffering anymore? Watching in half-second bursts is useless.

This works:

HYHYBT, try right clicking on the video and clicking “switch to low quality”

Thanks, 6 and 7… but the link doesn’t work, and selecting ‘low quality’ just makes the half-second bursts come slightly more often; then, after what would have been about five seconds real-time, it skips ahead.

Nia Gill, dear Essex Senator — You are amazing, you are eloquent, and your arguments are beautifully constructed. Hope that changes things to our favor
