Things just went from bad to worse to worser for Jerry Falwell Jr.
After it was revealed last week that he and his wife, Becki, are allegedly into cuckolding and enticed several young, musclebound, 20-something men into their bedroom then paid them for their silence with sweetheart real estate deals and under the table personal loans, Falwell was forced to resign as president of Liberty University.
Now, the Christian college has announced it’s opening an investigation into Falwell’s past financial, real estate, and legal dealings while serving as president.
In a statement, Liberty University’s Executive Committee, acting on behalf of its Board of Trustees, said the recent revelations about Falwell’s less-than-Christian behavior have “challenged all of us to the core.”
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
“Some may say that all the signs were there for a long time before last week,” the statement reads. “It’s certainly fair to say that there were questionable comments made, worrying behavior, and inappropriate social media posts, but all the signs were not there until the start of last week.”
We beg to differ. We’ve been reporting on Falwell’s non-Christian party boy behavior for literally years.

The statement continues: “While we still didn’t know the full scope of the matter, we have learned enough about the past to know that we had no choice but to take the leadership of Liberty University in a new direction.”
Falwell was ousted and now, the executive committee says, he’s being investigated.
“One of the leading forensic firms in the world has been retained by Liberty University’s Board of Trustees to conduct a thorough investigation into all facets of Liberty University operations during Jerry Falwell, Jr.’s tenure as President, including but not limited to financial, real estate, and legal matters.”
Falwell hasn’t issued any comment on Liberty University launching an investigation into his behavior, but he did tell CBS News last week that “90%” of what has been reported about him is false, #fakenews, lies, totally not true, nothing to see here folks.
Oh, and for the record, just because Liberty University has suddenly decided Jerry Falwell Jr. is a creep and is doing everything it can to distance itself from him, it’s still a super homophobic institution founded in hatred that continues to breed animosity, divisiveness, and bigotry. That’s a stench it will never be able to cleanse from itself.

Well, there is no karma. This is simple cause and effect. One is even worse than the institution one works at, one eventually pays for it.
That should be obvious.
If he’d held it to simply being equally evil as Liberty U, he’d have gotten away with it cold.
It is, perhaps, a bit unkind to take too much pleasure in it if one wishes to consider one’s self a decent human being but…in this case I’ll be more forgiving than usual. Party on.
Cam
No surprise that the account that constantly defends bigoted Republican attacks on LGBTQ people is trying to put out the narrative that we shouldn’t take glee in the fall of somebody who for years created hostility towards us, pushed laws against us and harassed LGBTQ students and kicked them out.
The more bad that happens to Falwell the happier I’ll be.
Nice try though.
Chrisk
Cam
I didn’t read that as him defending Fallwell. Focusing on just him ignores the problem. Fallwell was just careless.
No doubt Liberty will just find someone many times worse.
Cam
@Chrisk
I’m sure they will, in all ways.
My comment is because, you NEVER see him and his other screenames saying it would be “unkind” to mock a BLM protester, or Hillary Clinton, or LGBTQ people that get caught doing stuff, but whenever there is a story about some Republican bigot, they are always in here claiming we shouldn’t be “mean” to them.
Hdtex
@ChrisK: Cam can’t read and is a total obsessive troll. Ignore it, it’ll collapse under its own sphincter pressure and already doesn’t garner any respect. There’s no there there.
Yep, Liberty will find worse–just more careful and able to hide it. Or at least as bad. There’s always more evil available. Although Falwell walks away with a payoff, his rep is ruined. That cash better last–and you know it won’t.
To clarify further, although I think you get it, I’m not generally a fan of gloating in any particular fashion, but, as noted, in this case I’ll suspend that for the time being and in this particular case. Gloat away as far as Falwell is concerned. Other cases will be Trump if/when he loses in November, any whining he does about that. Ivanka’s monetary losses. Pence and any potential prostate issues. And so on. 🙂
Cam
@Hdtex
Once again, your agenda is clear as is your obsession with me. You can’t post a comment and stay on topic, its always about me.
If I lived off of people’s obsession I would be putting on weight because of you.
Cam
If Liberty REALLY gave a crap about Falwell’s financial behavior then why did the Liberty board give him a 10 million dollar severance package AFTER they knew what he had done?
Cato
The severance package and the amount were stipulated in the contract Falwell signed years ago with Liberty. They’re probably on the hook to pay him unless they dig up evidence of some crime with Falwell misappropriating university funds or property.
Cam
@Cato
Point taken, but typically if they were fired for cause, or have brought attention that could damage the business. It would be worthwhile to deny him the payout and let him sue. Even if the lawsuit cost Liberty a million dollars it would still save them 9 million.
vinnieboiblue
Being fired or terminated for cause, is usually meaningless. Some how some way, lawyers find away to find a way to get their clients some kind of worthy financial severance. He did bring that university in a lot of money, more than what they took in before he came on aboard.
pavel20
please recognize that if he is found to have engaged in actions that have damaged the university, e.g., inappropriate use of university funds, it is likely his severance will be forfeit.
Sister Bertha Bedderthanyu
I somewhat feel sorry for him because of the sheltered life that he was brought up in but this is what happens when a church thinks it can manufacture a prophet. They didn’t plan on having to deal with kinks in the product such as these. He is due a ten to twelve million dollar severance package and its clear that with the pandemic raging as it is and only getting worse the university is going to suffer a huge financial hit because of declining enrollment. He, Oral Roberts Jr. and a few other children of our aging religious television stars clearly didn’t pay attention the bible studies during their education.
vinnieboiblue
Not me. You reap what you sow. He has been telling his students to live the good life and here he was playing around on yachts. Watching his wife carrying on with students or poolboys while choking the chicken.
Cam
He inherited a fortune from his father and spent his life attacking LGBTQ people. My sympathy is for the people he has harmed.
Sister Bertha Bedderthanyu
Unfortunately his father died broke. Sr. went bankrupt funding what he thought was going to be a retirement Utopia for his misguided flock. Business wise his father was a TOTAL failure outside of contributions from the ignorant to keep him going.
Mister P
Enough about Falwell. Let’s find people to inspire us instead of make us sick.
michael_totzke
I loooooooooooooooove K A R M A !!!
vinnieboiblue
What did you expect, that all his legal problems would just go away? When Michael Cohen admitted to fixing it so x rated pics would not get out, you knew this web of sexual deviancy was about to explode.
barryaksarben
They have replaced him with an equally horrible homophobic asshole. And although Id never kick someone when they are down I will make an exception for Jerry Falwell Jr. He is a huge piece of shit who has been using Liberty as his personal piggybank and even the simplest investigation should bring lots of criminal charges. This “board of trustees” or flock of shiteaters is lying through their fake christian teeth in saying it all just NOW became clear. It has been in the national gossip for years and they took NO action because they were cowardly little bitches who were afraid of his clout. They arent christian at all but more of that FAKE christianity sect of so called evangelicals whose sole purpose in life is to lies, cheat and steal and harm others with their vicious name calling and pushing their taliban like beliefs on the weak minded yokels who believe their lies
barryaksarben
HDTEX you are a troll as far as many of us can tell. Cam is right in that you are very forgiving of any right wing bastard that has harmed our community but attack our friends who you disagree with. IF you were as tough on our enemies it wouldnt look like you are either a log cabin republican (mentally unstable individuals deep into self hatred) or a russian bot
johnnymcmxxx
All of this and yet they still have him a 10.5 million dollar going away present. I hope he spends it all on lawyer fees & more boys for Becki.
garybw
In prison the inmates will be calling him Becky and he’ll be the entertainment.
Cam
Becky with the bad hair?
blackhook
LMFAO!!! Liberty University is as strange & creepy as Falwell himself. As if they didn’t know about his financial dealings & other outlandish behavior. They’re only investigating now because it’s out in the open. Just one more nail in the coffin of evangelical Christianity — the biggest fraud in history.

$10.5M is a great motivator! ?
