They weren’t real. They weren’t anything you should even concern yourself with. Now go listen to “Story of My Life” and STFU.
In not so many words, that’s what Louis Tomlinson is emphatically stating regarding long-standing rumors that he and bandmate Harry Styles were ensnared in some sort of extremely sexy gay male relationship that fans awkwardly called “Larry Stylinson”.

At this juncture, it’s hard to say where anyone got these ridiculous notions.
Talking to The Sun, Tomlinson says:
“I’ve never actually been asked about it directly. It’s a funny thing. It kind of happened naturally for me and Harry because a certain amount of the fans drew up this conspiracy. When it first came around I was with Eleanor, and it actually felt a little bit disrespectful to Eleanor, who is my girlfriend now.
I’m so protective over things like that, about the people I love. So it created this atmosphere between the two of us where everyone was looking into everything we did. It took away the vibe you get off anyone. It made everything a little bit more unapproachable. I think [what’s happened since] shows that it was never anything ‘real’ if I can use that word.”
Avoiding eye contact. Touching one’s face. Defensively shaking one’s head. Rolling eyes. Smiling tightly. Putting an object between you and the interrogator (a la flowers.) According to body language experts, these are all surefire signals that somebody is actually telling the unvarnished truth, and we believe Tomlinson, and so should you.
This is also body language that suggests a person with nothing to hide:
He previously touched upon these longstanding rumors thus:
“This is a subject that was funny at first but now is actually hard to deal with in a relationship,” says Tomlinson, 21, now dating 20-year-old model Eleanor Calder. “Me and Harry are best friends, people look into our every move—it is actually affecting the way me and Harry are in public. We want to joke around, but there seems to be a different rumor every time we do anything. I act the same way with Harry as I do [with] any of the other boys and my childhood friend Stan.”

Nothing to see here except boys having fun. why label fun as anything but? Boys will be boys and boys just wanna have fun, as well. Whatever they do in private, is just that. Just because you kiss and grope and play grab ass and hump your friend multiple times, with cameras rolling over and over again ad infinitum, doesn’t mean a bloody thing. It’s fun. And of course they’re English so you know how that goes. Cheerio. BTW they are accomplished singers. So that’s cool too. I did like Harry’s new solo effort.

The only way this rumor would be “hard to deal with” is if there was some actual truth to it. Your long-term girlfriend is not gonna think you’re gay just because of silly internet memes. Also, these in-band hook up fantasies are almost always driven by a section of female fans not actual gay dudes.

Funny this is they’re fueled by young girls who want to believe the boys are lovers, but are outraged if you insinuate that they’re gay.

Like with Take That, I could see how the extreme intensity of what they were going through at such a young adolescent age, and having very few other people they could share it with, would lead to an equally intense emotional bond, and maybe even the occasional circle jerk as they are all teenage guys together. But that’s a long way from being actually in love or full-time life-long homosexuals.

Sexual orientation is not a behavior or lifestyle. It seems people still don’t get that. Sexual preferences and “lifestyle” can be are choices. Orientation represents what you inherently are. There are hetero and hetero-dominant men who have gay relationships. There are homo and homo-dominant men who never do. There can be many dimensions to sexuality. However, persistent, substantial and sustainable sexual attractions are the easiest way to suss out one’s orientation not behavior or “lifestyle”.
However, assuming there were in-band hook ups because they sometimes grabbed each other’s butts speaks more to you employing fantasy. No one knows who any of these dudes are inherently, what their orientation is, what happened in the band or what “lifestyles” they lead now. There haven’t even been substantiated, evidence heavy rumors. So, there’s just no need to go there with them.
My initial point is that if you know you’re not gay these internet memes shouldn’t bother you so much and shouldn’t be a problem in a long-term relationship.

I can’t stand him. He knew the rumours from the beginning and he was the one who fueled them with his behaviour.
Harry deal with the rumours without problem but he fear so much being labeled gay that he can’t act with grace.
He is talentless and was very lucky to be on the group because there’s no way he has a career solo
