Laila McQueen is a fierce New Hampshire drag queen that I chose as someone I would like to see on Drag Race – if I were doing the casting. Michelle Visage and I kikied about her during our interview. Michelle loves Laila too, which I did not realize when brought her name up. Michelle’s face really lit up when I said “Laila McQueen!” We both are fans of her insane and sickening but intelligent drag.
Here is a look at why Laila McQueen is not so stupid. Her drag is fun, crazy and smart and never ever boring!
The thing that really sold me on Laila, however, was when I looked at her art website. Tyler Devlin – the boy who is Laila – is a gifted artist who turns out some really moving paintings, collages and sketches.
