Wow. The disdain and hate for Madonna by the Gay community, in particular, surprises me everytime I encounter it. I understand not understanding, appreciating, or caring for her music, but to make it so personal. I love Madonna and her work. I’ve seen a great amount of success and blessing because of her trailblazing self expression and self empowerment. Watching her journey has been an interesting one and she keeps going, if not for her fans, then at least for her own sake. And what more does life demand from us other than to be happy, even if others would take that happiness from you? If you don’t appreciate that message, then I don’t think you can understand Madonna. Ever.
