Of course she wouldn’t have a career if it weren’t for the gay community. She was clever enough to know what buttons to push to manipulate us into forking out our money. Her shtick was obvious: sing in a little girl voice about virginity and other sexualized notions.
As for what she’s done for the gay community, fuck all. She did the complete opposite of what an ambassador for gay rights should do. She promoted the notion that female bisexuality is cool but male bisexuality isn’t. It’s a script straight out of the porn industry’s manifesto as written by sleazy straight guys who think gay guys are disgusting.
Go away, Madonna, back to your locust-riddled houses. Hope they eat you.
