According to the all-knowing Urban Dictionary, a “twink” is defined as a “youthful homosexual male, who is smooth-bodied, only slightly-muscular, with little or no body hair, and has a semi-athletic build. Often also being naïve, and cute, with nothing upstairs.”

Comedian Michael Henry recently took to the chilly streets of New York to ask a set of strangers, including, randomly, Janeane Garofalo, if they thought he was a twink. The responses ranged from awkward looks of confusion, pity and uncertainty to a few strangers being kind and stroking Henry’s ego by telling him yes, er, maybe… once upon a time…
