Music producer and DJ Mark Ronson has issued an apology for coming out as sapiosexual.
Ronson backtracked his comments in an interview with Rolling Stone, following a media firestorm after he referred to himself as sapiosexual during a Good Morning Britain interview last week. Ronson now says he was “not informed enough” to properly use the term.

“It sounds like I went on a TV show to be like, ‘Guys, I have some big news!’ And the fact that I would go on and sort of declare myself – like as a heterosexual white male – part of any marginalized community was terrifying to me, or just embarrassing,” Ronson says. He adds: “I do not consider myself part of any marginalized community and I apologize if anyone misunderstood or took offense to it.”

Sapiosexuality refers to attraction to a person for their intelligence, regardless of physical looks or gender. Ronson’s comments made international headlines, as observers took the admission to mean he identified as bisexual. He now clarifies that he identifies as heterosexual.

All of these other terms are created because some don’t the f*ckng balls to say who they really are. They’re just “SAFE” terms to not be judged. Like people who are celibate. Celibate people can be gay, straight, or bi. We don’t need another term for celibate.
Pansexual is silly too. It’s just another way of saying you’re bi.

Pansexuaity and bisexuality aren’t the same thing though. Bisexuals physically find men and women to be hot. Their attractions are related to physical traits. Pansexuals fall for people despite physical traits. So its not the same thing at all. Pansexuals will date a person who’s personality they like regardless if they are cis or trans male, cis or trans female, non-binary, fat, skinny, short, tall, etc. From what I understand, sapiosexual is similar to pansexual, but its more about intellect than personality. But its not accurate to say that sapiosexual and pansexual are just the same as bisexual.

Also, you are wrong about the difference between bisexual and pansexual. You can easily be bisexual or heterosexual and be attracted to someone for reasons other than just the physical. It happens all the freaking time. Conversely, pansexuals can easily have an immediate physical attraction to someone who hasn’t even opened their mouth yet. Because they’re human, and that’s how humans are wired.
All you’ve really shown is that there is no difference between bisexuals and pansexuals, other than the douchiness of the people using the term pansexual, because they want to sound more interesting, evolved, and/or special. The reality is, that outside of pure lust, attraction is made up of a combination of factors. And if for you it’s just one thing, that just means you’re extremely shallow, not some exotic sexuality.

I think I prefer the attitude of people like George Clooney. When he heard people were sneering at gays, he simply said he was gay too.
