Marriott’s dabbling in some gay relations. The international hotel giant registered with the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce in April and today announced plan to expand spending to “diverse” suppliers, including queer companies.
Marriott’s diversity guru Mike Tobolski lauded last year’s $400 million in related funding and promised to chug forward with the fagalas:
Last year, our company reached record levels in spending. We plan to build on our company’s success in the U.S. and expand our program to nurture relationships internationally and within the LGBT community.
Marriott hopes to spend $1 billion on diverse supplies by 2010. Gay suppliers better start courting…
