McCain Drops Preacher Parsley

John McCain encountered more preacher problems last night.

The drama started in the afternoon, when the Republican presidential hopeful denounced Pastor John Hagee, whose comments about Hitler performing “God’s will” broke the camel’s back.

Mere hours later McCain found himself ousting yet another unholy man, Rod Parsley, who described Islam as “anti-Christ.” McCain very cleverly used the repudiation to mention that he never really accepted Parsley, anyway:

I believe there is no place for that kind of dialogue in America, and I believe that even though he endorsed me, and I didn’t endorse him, the fact is that I repudiate such talk, and I reject his endorsement.

Things were all well and good when Parsley and Hagee were taking on the homos, of course.
