General Mills, manufacturer of such beloved cereals as Chex, Lucky Charms and Wheaties, has hit a home run (in our eyes) with its latest branding effort for Cheerios.
Never ones to shy away from showcasing diversity (over at Slate Mark Stern calls them the “anti-Chick-fil-A”), they’ve gone beyond all previous efforts by featuring adorable gay dads André and Jonathan.
And you’re likely to fall in love with them as they talk about falling in love with each other and their even more adorable son Raphaelle.
Their inspiration for adopting? “We couldn’t keep all this luck to ourselves.” Cue collective aww.
Though by that logic, every time the bus comes right when I get to the stop, I’d be adding another lamb to the flock.
Here’s the crazy cute ad:

Priceless. And the guys are babes.

Did anybody happen to watch the advertisement? Did Dan? The two guys are adorable, particularly with their French-Canadian accents while speaking English, but so is their DAUGHTER, Raphaëlle. She is not their son. Way to go, Queerty. You’ve hit another home run with this one.

Well done…. General Mills great choice and thanks for taking a chance. Now I guess I will be a Cheerios fan again. The love and caring is genuine and it shows. It’s 2014 and we all can learn for the guys and their daughter. Priceless yes.

Are you kidding me with this? That’s a little girl…who edits this rag? Anyone? Anyone?

This is wonderful. This is beautiful. I hope other companies follow this initiative.

@verylittlegravitasindeed: Nobody. And none of the staff read what they publish, either.
