Billionaire first lady Melania Trump has an important message for Americans this holiday season: Life is about more than just material things.
Mrs. Trump joined military families for a gift sorting event this week at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling. The event was part of the Marine Corps Reserve’s annual Toys for Tots drive. While she was there, she took a moment to lecture everyone about the true meaning of Christmas.
“It is my hope that during this holiday season, people will remember it is not about gifts,” the first lady said from a podium surrounded by lavishly wrapped holiday presents, stuffed animals, toys, and children’s bikes. “It’s family, service, and gratitude. We must continue to look out for, and help each other.”

As Bing Crosby’s “White Christmas” and other Christmas classics blared from the loud speaker, Melania, who just last week told a child in a hospital bed she wished she could spend the holidays “on a deserted island,” proceeded to stuff oversized boxes marked “Boy,” “Girl,” and “Toddler” with material goods, including action figures, dolls, stuffed animals, and games.
“As my first year as first lady comes to an end,” she said, “I have had the privilege to witness the spirit and resilience of so many people in our country.”

Dsharpark if Obama had put forth the policies I named (and others I hadn’t) I would have absolutely turned against him. Bush was a haneous president, but didn’t do near the damage Trump has done or trying to do—still did not agree with his policies, and made no comments about the First Lady during his time in the White House. These are entirely different circumstances. This isn’t about Republican policies vs Democrat policies anymore. It’s about stopping this monster from destroying our country.

There are many issues with Obama that one could claim Michelle was complicit with such as (from a left leaning person’s point-of-view) his ineffectiveness to do anything regarding gun control, mandating that if the poor cannot afford insurance that they must pay a tax penalty as punishment, the massive wealth gap which grew under his Presidency more than any other time in US history due to his economic policies, creating death and destruction in the Middle East and even blowing up a hospital which contained sick children.
Also what is this constant misleading info about President Trump “giving massivie tax cuts to the rich”? Everyone gets a tax cut in this tax bill, it even increases the child tax credit dramatically. You’re falling for fake or biased news on that one.

The article is loaded with subtle jabs at Melania Trump. It’s not direct, but there are many indirectly snide comments. I will point them out since it seems your reading comprehension is lacking on this one and you’re asking people for help.
In paragraph 3, Queerty seems to mock Melania as if what she is saying is contradictory by emphasizing that she said the true meaning of Christmas is not about presents while standing in front of “lavishly wrapped holiday presents”. They seem to forget that the event was a Toys-for-Tots event which is about giving to the less fortunate.
Then later in the article when they write: “As Bing Crosby’s ‘White Christmas’ and other Christmas classics blared from the loud speaker”, word choice matters here. Why specifically point out that a “White Christmas” happened to be “blared” at the event? Queerty more than likely is implying racial implications with that one considering they previously criticized Melania’s white snowlike Christmas directions at the White House of being a sign of racism.
Further in that paragraph the word choice matters as well when Queerty says, Melania “proceeded to stuff oversized boxes marked ‘Boy,’ ‘Girl,’ and ‘Toddler’ with material goods” as if this is a bad thing. This was a Toys-for-Tots event. Queerty knowingly mocked Melania here to denote that her intentions were bad.
I’m sure you’ll disagree and act as if you can’t comprehend any of this because you’ll submit to being willfully ignorant in that sense OR you’ll resort to the usual, “Oh how adorable, another MoBro Russian troll bot anti-lgbt something something”
