So Melania Trump is currently in Africa. FLOTUS is on a week-long solo trip to Ghana, Malawi, Kenya, and Egypt to promote her “Be Best” campaign, which aims to tackle online bullying.
Because if there’s one thing starving children in “sh*thole countries” (Trump’s words, not ours) need, it’s a lesson in online etiquette.
Ahead of her departure, FLOTUS tweeted:
We are taking off for #Africa! So looking forward to visiting #Ghana #Malawi #Kenya & #Egypt as I take #BeBest international. #FLOTUSinAfrica2018 pic.twitter.com/8P7r0evXcU

And now, the responses…
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
Bye, Felicia.

Oh, the nations that your husband called “shit-hole countries”? How nice.

Really??? There are children in cages here in the U.S. But she doesn’t care, does she? Her Be Best campaign are just words, they mean nothing.

While in Ghana, Mrs. Trump toured a former slave fort, where people were kept naked and chained while they waited to be carted off on slave ships. When asked about her thoughts on that, Melania told reporters: “What happened so many years ago is really a tragedy.”
Several Ghanaians were interviewed about FLOTUS’s visit to their country, but many of them didn’t know anything about it, the AP reports.
“Did you say President Trump’s wife just arrived in Accra?” asked street vendor Awo Yeboah. “I don’t think I have ever heard her name, Melania.”
Others said they knew Mrs. Trump was coming to visit but they didn’t have any idea why or what she was doing there.

I’m not going to fault her for visiting these African countries. A little positive diplomacy goes a long way, and her husband is despised all over the globe. What I don’t see is how her campaign fits with the countries she’s visiting, but so long as she isn’t causing offense, it could be a good thing. I bet her racist, oafish, misogynistic, unhinged husband wouldn’t go if you gave him all the money in the world–including triple all the millions he allegedly accumulated committing tax fraud and a host of other crimes with his family for decades, according to the New York Times’ bombshell report last night.

Honey, if you’re using the NYT as a source of information, I think you just might living in an echo chamber. Read something else.

The irony of promoting an anti-bullying campaign in countries where LGBTQ are beaten, tortured, murdered and imprisoned? More like an elaborate shopping spree for exotic bags or switching out the Romanians in Maralago and Trump Tower, for new bunch of slave labour. Note to FLOTUS: Rhodesia doesn’t exist anymore.

And she’s visiting Malawi, which has persecuted Jehovah’s Witnesses. I know, they are not a popular group on Queerty. But if we claim to stand for freedom we have to stand with all peaceful people who face prison or death for their beliefs.

It doesn’t matter where she might go. Whether she went to Germany, Japan, the UK, or Vermont, you people would criticize her for it, which is only a mask for the fact that you can’t get over the 2016 elections. It’s 2018, he’s President, and you didn’t vote for him. We already “get” that part of it.
If someone on here went off on Obama like you do to Trump, you’d be screaming from the rooftops.
It’s called hypocrisy.
