So Melania Trump visited the the Children’s National hospital in Washington, D.C. this week. While she was there, she took a few questions from the kids.
When asked by a 10-year-old named Andy where she wishes she could spend the holidays, the first lady replied, “I would spend my holidays on a deserted island, tropical island, with my family.”
Evidently, the White House isn’t quite lonely and deserted enough for her.
Some of her other yuletide wishes included “peace on the world, health, love, and kindness”–all things her husband has been actively working against since taking office back in January.
And when asked what her favorite part about Christmas dinner is, the former swimsuit model replied, “Healthy food.”
“Not too much eating,” she said.
After the visit, Melania tweeted about how “grateful” she was for the hospital.
I was so grateful at the opportunity to spend time with the children and their families yesterday, and want to thank the medical staff @Childrenshealth for their lifesaving work. pic.twitter.com/dkQvUM3RMl

The responses weren’t so grateful…
Interesting, while your husband takes away healthcare for millions to give tax relief to the already rich 1%

Well done, now push your husband to save #CHIP and fund healthcare for kids. Push him to save ACA as well.

Maybe you should get your husband to stop trying to take away their health insurance, then.

It’s a shame you have to be married to a criminal. If given different situation you could do good charity work.

It’s all good you keep doing these visits but what have you contributed to America? You husband is hurting those families you keep doing photo ops with.

Please talk to your husband about CHIP – its a vital program that helps sick children too.
