Memers eviscerate Trump after Oval Office address about “crisis” on southern border

So Donald Trump gave his very first Oval Office address last night during which he addressed the partial government shutdown and the nonexistent crisis on the southern border.

The roughly 10 minute speech was chocked full of partial truths, exaggerated and misleading statements, and downright lies, including mixing drug statistics with immigration statistics, overstating that “thousands” of immigrants try to cross the southern border every day, and insisting Mexico will pay for the wall, just to list a few.

The whole thing was a total farce. So much so that even Shep Smith over at Fox News couldn’t resist challenging many of Trump’s claims by citing the government’s own numbers.

“He talks about undocumented crossings over the past months,” Smith said afterwards. “In fact, the number of undocumented crossings over the southern border has been steadily down over the last 10 years and the government reports that there is more outward traffic than inward traffic.”

So… exactly why is our government shutdown over American taxpayers paying for "the wall" — when #Mexico is supposed to be paying for "the wall"? I don't give a crap about his fan’s spins and interpretations of what he meant to say — or what he really means — I heard it for myself… many, many times — over and over — LEADING CHANTS!… He said: "I will build a great wall — and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me –and I'll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will make Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words." Words… marked. He was very clear and specific. And now he’s panicking because has not a clue how to keep his dumb-ass promise. He wants money for his stupid wall?… It's going to have to be in pesos… >>> END OF DISCUSSION. The #Democrats now have control of The House and will put forth sensible legislation to benefit the people of this country.
