Monday, December 17, 2018 will be a day that lives in infamy… At least, for people who rely on Tumblr for porn. That’s the day the microblogging site will no longer allow x-rated content on its platform.

Earlier this month, CEO Jeff D’Onofrio ignited a firestorm when he published a blog post alerting people to the change:
Over the past several months, and inspired by our storied past, we’ve given serious thought to who we want to be to our community moving forward and have been hard at work laying the foundation for a better Tumblr. We’ve realized that in order to continue to fulfill our promise and place in culture, especially as it evolves, we must change … Today, we’re taking another step by no longer allowing adult content, including explicit sexual content and nudity (with some exceptions).

How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
As the fateful day draws nearer, people are growing more and more frantic. Nobody yet knows what will happen when Tumblr goes G-rated, or, more importantly, where they’re going to scratch their pornographic itches from here on out. Only time will tell.
And now, the memes…

It really is pathetic and sad that Tumblr is gutting all NSFW content while leaving racist, homophobic, hate groups to still post. I did use Tumblr for mostly porn. It has some of the best content and ease of use out of any site I’ve found. Apparently they said that some non nsfw sites complained when a nsfw site either followed or liked any of their content. No matter what once I get or save what I want I am closing my account.
If anyone has any suggestions for other sites pass them on please!

All of my stuff is safely tucked away at Nibblebit, but I’m not too crazy about their format. I’m hoping cumblr.com will turn out to be more like a copycat site, if they can get it up and running in time.

Tapbler may be a viable option. They are letting people move their complete Tumblr content to the new platform.

Beanie16, I use XVideos.com for all of my porn videos, especially since I like bareback.

I smell Xtian right and money. Frankly, I hope Tumblr totally fails and bombs. This is about fake moralism. I seldom post, but I enjoy looking at hundreds of posts on the site. Their loss. Other sites will pick up and hopefully drive Tumblr into financial oblivion. Tumblr cannot change reality no matter how much they may fake reality.

There’s a site called cumblr that’s allegedly launching next month – just like tumblr, but for gay male porn content.
Twitter is probably the best option for right now. And there’s always xtube, rockettube, and gaytube, but the login process is a pain/ass.

Rumor is Verizon is intentionally tanking Tumblr to stop the revenue bleeding but it’s Verizon and they are all in the asses of the Right so the move also being about censorship of anything adult wouldn’t be a surprise either. So remember Verizon=Evil.

No need to be so dramatic. They’re not banning gays. They’re just banning porn. Go to another site for porn. I’m not deleting my Tumblr.

It’s Tumblr’s loss, may Pornhub’s gain. Who cares?

Tumblr didn’t wait. They cut off my access to my archive on December 5, and that’s when I deleted my blog which was VERY NSFW. All because the Apple Store claimed to find kiddie porn on a couple of Tumblr blogs, which I’m thinking was either hacked or just plain bogus. Corporations lie. That’s all there is to it.

At first I was like, OK, they’re getting rid of porn, don’t want it to be like Pornhub or something. No biggie. There are plenty of sites that can host porn. Problem is they’re going way overboard. Even flagging anything m/m that goes below the chest. Hell, they flagged an image of two guys in underwear and undershirts standing up and about to kiss. How is that porn? Meanwhile, I found entire blogs devoted to showing off women’s panties from under hiked up skirts. Seems very homophobic and I’m going out of my way to tell them. Pretty much anytime I see something inappropriately flagged.
