As we reported earlier, Donald Trump met with Vladimir Putin in Helsinki today where they held a joint press conference that Anderson Cooper later described as “one of the most disgraceful performances by an American president at a summit in front of a Russian leader certainly that I’ve ever seen.”
Related: Trump’s horrifying press conference with Vladimir Putin has everyone very concerned
Not only did Trump repeatedly praise Putin during the 50-minute press conference, saying he believed the dictator when he said Russia didn’t meddle in the 2016 election, despite the fact that Robert Mueller just indicted a dozen Russian intelligence officers for hacking Democratic servers, but he also criticized the FBI, saying it hasn’t been doing a very good job handling the matter.

When asked specifically whether he believes U.S. intelligence agencies or Putin over the hacking scandal, Trump refused to say, replying: “I think the United States has been foolish. I think we’ve all been foolish.”
In short, the press conference couldn’t have gone better for Russia or worse for the United States. It was so disgraceful, in fact, that people have already labeled it #TreasonSummit on social media.
And now, the memes…
Kieran
Right on cue, here come the usual “Trump must be gay for Putin” memes. Because you know, gay-shaming somebody is totally cool as long as it’s supposed to make President Trump mad.
tham
I’m sorry but which one is “gay shaming”?
Calling Trump and Putin boyfriends…or his leather slave or making a Lady and the Trump…Tramp…
It’s only shaming if you replace Trump with let’s say Hillary…and it’s not funny.
But…it would be still funny…so…what’s your point?

And right on cue comes the same accounts trying to deflect from what is going on with Trump and what happened in Helsinki

Poor Kieran – the world is being unkind to The Glorious Leader. The memes are poking fun at the complete infatuation that Trump has with Putin, ignoring the fact that Putin is a highly autocratic leader who appears to intent on raising Russia up to the supreme power in Europe and pretty much the rest of the world, regardless of how many people he has to murder, how much money he has to steal, and the extent to which he has to oppress his own people and those of other nations.

Should homophobic memes be part of this site?
Bob LaBlah
Putin, please OMIT the J-Lube and opera glove when your fisting him in that sling and give it to raw. He’ll love it.
Lvng1Tor
I agree and he should be mocked, I just don’t think it should be at the expense of reinforcing negative and harmful stereotypes of gay men. Some of these are very clever by making him a dog, a child, a clown…not something that our young (and old) gay (and presumed gay) kids get laughed at, mocked, bullied, forcibly sodomized (raped) and beaten for. Hell, we bottom/sub shame in our own community all the time and it has real-world consequences and effects on our community.
whoknows
If you’re gonna out of your way to shame don’t contradict yourself. It only makes your viewpoint seem like it lacks integrity. I agree with you.
SpacemanSpiff
Nope. No sacred cows. We either to get to mock anyone we like any way we like, or no one gets to mock anyone at all. If other people’s feelings about their President being mocked don’t matter to you, then why should your feelings about gayness being mocked matter to anyone else? You either take as good as you give or shut up. No double standards or arbitrary exceptions because of your personal issues or subjective feelings. (“You” as in “people generally.”)

@Lvng1Tor: So, could you publish the ‘approved’ list of who we can mock, and who we cannot, because God knows, we wouldn’t anybody to get butt-hurt and get their nose out of joint, now would we.
Hypocrite. If anybody mocked Obama like that you’d scream ‘racist’, along with the leftist press. I agree that what’s good for the goose is good for the gander, but it can never be selective, based on someones “feelings”.
Xzamilloh
So basically, “Mock him every way except the way I don’t like.”
Bob Scardino
I wonder how many of these comments that are against ‘gay shaming’ were made by people who told trans activists to get a life over the Scarlett Johansen controversy.
Xzamilloh
Ugh, so much concern trolling, and it’s pathetic. “Trump capitulated to Putin on the world stage and threw our American intelligence agencies under the bus in one of the most pathetics acts ever seen by a sitting president… but don’t make gay memes, because THAT’S crossing the line.”
Queerty, where’s the gif function? Or emojis? “We updated our comment policy…” Great, update everything else while you’re at it.
Pistolo
Queerty, rise above this. This is the sort of joke gay men have been tricked into telling, that of a lack of masculinity in relation to perceived submission. It seeps into the core of our identity and we armor ourselves with it, make light of it and the straight people laugh because it means we’re “in on the joke”….except we’re not in the joke, we ARE the joke. I have a sense of humor but not when it comes to anything involving shaming a person for their inherent sexuality.
Kieran
Their deranged HATRED of President Trump make them blind to the fact that they are using homophobia to attack him. The problem is, Trump isn’t gay, so why would these memes bother him? These memes are not an insult to Trump or Putin, they’re an attack on gay men and the negative stereotypes that homophobes use to attack us.

Yes comrade.
