Mexican singer, DJ, and producer Raymix made headlines earlier this summer when he came out as gay. Now, he’s just released his first single since making the big announcement and it’s sure to get everyone talking.
Raymix, whose real name is Edmundo Gómez Moreno, burst onto the music scene back in 2015 with his international hit “Oye Mujer,” which has garnered over 600 million views on YouTube. Since then, he’s released two studio albums and has accumulated over 2.6 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

His new single, “Llámame” (“Call Me”), is an electrocumbia song is finds the 29-year-old singer crushing hard on one of his guy friends and wondering if he feels the same way. The song takes an unexpected turn at the end.
The accompanying music video was filmed at a bowling alley in Mexico City and directed by Raymix’s brother Pablo Gómez Moreno. It’s the first time Raymix has featured a man as his love interest in one of his music videos.

Finally a cumbia and not another reggaeton! 🙂 Seriously, catchy beat and relatable lyrics.

Sweet video, he seems to have an engaging personality and an appealing voice. But I don’t understand what Queerty means by an “unexpected turn at the end.”
