It starts innocently enough.
Sharp new fade? Yaas.
That amazing Halloween look last weekend? Yaass!
An upcoming vacation to Mexico? YAASS Mama!!
But yaass has a dark, ugly side (besides just being annoying when used to react to any and all life situations). And nobody’s talking about it.

Black women made it up, white dudes wore it out in 5 minutes. Nothing new here.

Another guy that happens to be gay that tries too hard to entertain but fails because what he’s doing is not funny and predictable.

@moldisdelicious: I would say it’s a good premise, and it was technically done well, but performance wise I did think it lacked. If he wrote this himself, he shows some comedic talent, but he’s beautiful and young (so obviously a little egocentric) and i guess he fashions himself a performer.
DarkZephyr
@Captain Obvious: Personally, I always thought that the way many a gay man said “yaaaaas” sounded rather valley girlish.
And I agree with you. Its worn out and it makes me cringe with embarrassment any time I hear it obnoxiously come out of any gay man’s mouth.

Another stupid youtuber desperately seeking attention to validate his life
Captain Obvious
@DarkZephyr: I briefly knew a guy who actually said it every 5 minutes as loudly as possible and thought he was being cute.
The way women say it and gay men say it is vastly different. It’s like you said Valley girl when gay men say it, but when women say it it’s much more subtle/sexy.
My sister calls it trying to be more woman than a woman(when gay guys imitate black women). It’s always exaggerated to the extreme.
This cycle never ends though. See also: Bye, Felicia. Worn out in .5 seconds.

@Captain Obvious: Oh I know, I often cringe when I see that as well. “Bye Felicia” often gets typed here at Queerty too. I think I may have used that expression once, but kicked myself immediately after lol But my god, the “yaaaaas”. I mean I don’t even grasp how any gay man thinks that sounds cool or cute. lol

@zooby: add that to the time you took to write that crap.
