Miley Cyrus Releases “We Can’t Stop” Director’s Cut, Is Definitely Talking About Drugs

The 20-year-old Disney-princess-turned-pop-goddess is quickly becoming the talk of the town, managing to hype one video (“We Can’t Stop“) more than Lady Gaga has her entire new album!

Yesterday, Miley broke a VEVO record when her latest video became the fastest to reach “Certified” status, amassing over 100 million views across all VEVO platforms in just 37 days. The video earned a whopping 10.7 million views within its first 24 hours alone, which we’re willing to bet was helped by her twerking debut.

Today, Miley released a Director’s Cut of the video, which is fancy industry lingo for “less product placement and we want to break a double-record.” Okay!

Just in case you’re still wondering, this song is definitely about drugs (dancin’ with molly // tryin’ to get a line in the bathroom). And like a total badass, Miley told the Daily Mail that she really doesn’t care if it bothers you:

On including a lyric about molly: “It depends who’s doing what. If you’re aged ten it’s ‘Miley’, if you know what I’m talking about then you know. I just wanted it to be played on the radio and they’ve already had to edit it so much…You can Google me and you know what I’m up to — you know what that lyric is saying.”
